Roland Hsu, LCSW, CA. Lic.#100838

I have trained and held clinical and research positions for more than 40 years in Silicon Valley and university communities. I have worked with adults and teens (including at local high schools), helping clients with life transitions such as separation and divorce, loss and grief, job stress and career changes, parenting and adult caregiving, family of origin and childhood trauma, and many more areas of our modern stressful lives. I serve on the leadership board and local chapter of the leading state organization of my field — the California Society of Clinical Social Workers.

My twenty-five years of Stanford University clinical and research experience includes having served as Associate Director of the Stanford Faculty Staff Help Center, and positions as a postodoctoral scholar, and multiple research center leadership roles.

Before my training and career as a therapist I had a fulfilling career in the humanities and social sciences (University of Chicago, PhD) including a professorial position in history.
